Terms of Use. Plain and short.

These terms are between you and Tushar Geetey, who makes PIKY (“we”). By installing or using PIKY, or using this website, you agree to them.

What PIKY is

PIKY is a free app for Mac. It gathers text, files and images you choose into a Pack, and adds that Pack to an app you choose. It works on your Mac and has no account.

Your licence

We give you a free, personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use PIKY on your Macs, for personal use or for work. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute PIKY, modify it, or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law allows it even though these terms say otherwise. To share PIKY, point people to this website.

Who owns what

PIKY, its name and logo, and this website belong to us. What you pick and the Packs you make stay yours. PIKY handles them on your Mac, as Privacy describes.

Updates

From PIKY 1.0, PIKY may check for, download and install new versions of itself, so that you have fixes and improvements. You can turn automatic update checks off in PIKY’s Settings. These terms apply to every version.

Other apps and services

When you use a Pack in another app or service, such as an AI chat, an email or a message, that app or service handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for what they do with it.

Feedback

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve PIKY, without owing you anything for them.

No warranty

PIKY and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that they are fit for a particular purpose, error free or always available. Check what you send before you send it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of PIKY or this website. Where we are liable despite this, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for PIKY, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we do, we update this page and the date above. If you keep using PIKY after a change, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using PIKY and uninstall it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights the law where you live gives you that cannot be waived.
